Peacefully, on Saturday, March 30, 2024, in her eighty-seventh year. Beloved wife of the late Ludvik. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Shirley and Bernie Biberkraut, Harvey and Lisa Lazar, Steven and Ruth Lazarowitz. Cherished and loved grandmother of Jaclyn and Daniel, Jordan, Allison; Greg and Ashley, Zach and Jennifer, Sarah and Brandon; Raquel, Eric and Mark. Proud great-grandmother of Levi and Harrison, Scarlett and Ella, Jack and John. Devoted daughter of the late Morris and the late Ella Marton. Predeceased by Ludvik’s siblings and their spouses, Hani and Eugene Blobstein, Joe and Edit Lazarovic, Cili Zylberberg, Helen and Aaron Herskowitz, Gita and Joe Katz. The family would like to thank Drs. Catalin Mihalcioiu, Earl Edelstein and Panagiota Toliopoulos. Heartfelt gratitude to nurses Cora, Susan and Ken. Special thanks to Mona’s caregiver, Joy. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Tifereth Jerusalem Section, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter’s home, Monday following burial until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., with Minha/Ma’ariv at 7:00 p.m. Donations in Mona’s memory may be made to the Congregation Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem, (514) 489-3841 www.tbdj.org.
