Mizue Mori was born on March 24, 1943 in Japan, and passed away peacefully at Headwaters Hospital on July 6, 2024, at the age of 81. She moved to Canada and began living at Community Living Dufferin in 1989, where she became a beloved member of the community. Mizue became a Canadian Citizen on January 12, 2010.
Throughout her life, Mizue enjoyed traveling, shopping for clothes, and engaging in crafts. She had a deep affection for children and volunteered at the Rolling Hills Daycare Center. Known for her nurturing nature, Mizue was like a mother to everyone she lived with.
She will be greatly missed by her peers and the staff who had the privilege of knowing her.
Memorial Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Monday, July 29th, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with Words of Remembrance at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A tree will be planted in memory of Mizue in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
