Minnie Russell
March 17th, 1945- July 14th, 2023
Passed peacefully away at the Bonavista Health Care Centre, surrounded by her loving family, Minnie Russell (Jones) age 78 of Bonavista, formally of Templeman, Bonavista Bay.
Predeceased by son David- 2022, parents Joesph and Violet Jones, brother Bill, sisters Marion (Spurrell) (Esau), and Clara Stowell (Char), parents in law John and Gwen Russell, and bother in law Bill.
Leaving to mourn her husband and best friend of 56 years, John, loving daughter Susan, and daughter in law Tammy. Brothers in law Everett (Alice), Horace (Enid), sisters in law, Jennie (John), Shelia (Lloyd), Edith, and Myrtle Jones of Brookfield, and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives, also special friend and next door neighbour Ida Pardy.
Minnie enjoyed her many years of work at FPI, spent lots of happy hours in her garden, playing broomball back in the day, walking and ice fishing, she also loved her precious fur babies.
Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held on Thursday July 20th, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm
Funeral Service will take place at Strathie’s Funeral Home on Friday July 21st, 2023 at 2:00pm
Inurnment to follow at Christ Church Anglican Cemetery.
At this time we would like to thank the staff at Golden Heights Manor and Bonavista Hospital for their exemplary care. Also to Edwin, Keith, Matthew and other EMS for their care.
Special thanks to niece Kerry (PCA) for all she has done. Well will never forget the care, love and laughter given to mom from all of Golden Heights Manor.
