Mildred Evelyn Perrin – of Blaine, TN passed away at the age of 87 on Friday, November 10, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Mildred was born on July 5, 1936 to Archie and Edna Williams of Rutledge, TN. Mildred graduated from Rutledge High School in 1954 where she was #3 in her class. She was married to Billy Ray Perrin, her loving husband of more than 68 years, on April 2, 1955 in Morristown, TN. Together they had two sons, David and Steve. After a successful career with General Motors at MIC and GMAC, she retired at the age of 52. During her retirement, she enjoyed extensive travel, traveling to all 50 states and multiple countries with Billy by her side. She was a devoted member of Block Springs Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years and served as Senior Leader for over 30 years where she took the Senior Group to many restaurants and tea rooms throughout the southeastern region. She was saved at a young age, and she loved and served the Lord throughout her life. She touched so many lives with her kindness. Mildred never met a stranger, and she made friends everywhere she went.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Archie & Edna Williams, infant brother, and granddaughter, Alicia Danielle Perrin.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Billy Ray Perrin, Sons: David (Martha) Perrin of Spring City, TN, and Steve Perrin (Rosalyn) of Blaine, TN, Grandchildren: Josh (Sarah) Perrin of Rutledge, TN, Sarah (Cody) Gravett of Dayton, TN, Rachel (Jimbo) McHaffie of Blaine, TN, and Ashley (Joe) Johnson of Jonesborough, TN. Great-Grandchildren: Jacey Kate Perrin and Millie Joyce McHaffie; as well as many other family members and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Life Care of Jefferson City, UT Medical Hospital, and Caris Hospice, as well as the family and friends that have offered prayers and support.
The family will receive friends at Bridges Funeral Home from 5-7pm Friday, November 17, 2023, with funeral to follow. Family and friends will meet 10:45am at Mouth of Richland Cemetery located at 148 Nance Ferry Rd, Blaine, TN 37709 on Saturday, November 18, 2023, for an 11am interment. Services will be officiated by Pastor Wayne Peace. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Perrin, Joe Johnson, Jimbo McHaffie, Cody Gravett, John King, and Steven Hodge.
