Michelle Dianne MacDonald (Furlotte) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her 64th year at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on February 03, 2024. Michelle is predeceased by her parents Donald Furlotte and Patricia Ferguson and her brother Danny Furlotte. Michelle is survived by her husband Mark MacDonald, her son Justin MacDonald (Ashleigh) and her granddaughters Jordyn and Kylie. Michelle is also survived by her siblings Barry (Kimm), Sharron, Roberta Bowden, Adrienne Talbot, Craig and Sheila (Mike). Michelle lived in Toronto and Brampton during her youth and then in Alberta in Red Deer for several years before returning to Ontario to live in Norwich, Fraserburg and Hastings.
Michelle enjoyed outdoor activities, living in the country, a succession of furry friends (recently Hunter and Ralph), her ever expanding gardens, being surrounded by wildlife and being with family. Michelle’s caring nature provided a strong foundation for her work as a PSW over many years in both Bracebridge and Campbellford.
Special thanks go to her care team at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre and to the care team at Campbellford Memorial Hospital for their care and support. Also, a thank you to Michele and Garry for their ongoing friendship and support. In keeping with Michelle’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Michelle’s life will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, 10 Front Street West, Hastings, . If desired Memorial Donations to Great Dane Angels (www.greatdaneangels.org/donate) would be appreciated.
