It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Michael «Mike» Edwards of St. Lawrence announces his passing. Mike passed away at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the age of 82.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Florence of 59 years; sons, Peter Edwards (Sarah) of Mount Pearl, Brian Edwards (Stephanie) of BC and Emmanuel Edwards of St. Lawrence; daughters, Bonnie Edwards (Dan) of BC and Marilyn Edwards (Ryan) of Little St. Lawrence; grandchildren, Melissa Woods (Chris), Jamie Vos (Kyler), Brianne Edwards (Charles), Madison Edwards and Shay Edwards; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jackie Edwards (Heber) of Little St. Lawrence, Violet Edwards (John) of Pasadena, Alice Suh (Ken) of Colorado, Madeline Fancy of NS, Mary Uchler of BC, Noella Kearney of BC, Loretta Hollett (Wade) of Lewin’s Cove and Cathy Edwards of BC; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Catherine & Benjamin Edwards; and parents-in-law Peter & Mary Cuza.
In honoring his wishes, cremation will take place.
A private graveside service will be held at Mount Cecilia R.C. Cemetery, St. Lawrence.
In Mike’s memory, in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Dialysis Unit.
