Michael (Mike) Coombs of Spaniard’s Bay passed peacefully away on April 7th, 2024 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s with his loving daughters at his side. Mike was 64 years old.
Pre-deceased by: parents James and Alice Coombs, wife Christine Coombs (nee Higgins), sister barb (Jack) Noftall.
Leaving to mourn his loving family:
Daughters Crystal (Mark) Jenkins and Coleen Coombs, precious grandson Alexander Jenkins, beloved dog Milo, nephew Lloyd Higgins who he raised as a son for many years, brothers Gus (Renee), Pat (Bev), Clayton, and Leo (Carolyn) and a large circle of family and friends.
The family would like to extend Special thanks to the ER staff at the health sciences centre, Dr. MacPherson and the internal medicine team, and the amazing nursing staff of HSC 4-South-A for the care and support provided during Mike’s final days.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, 488 CBN HWY, Spaniards Bay on Thursday: 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted and may be made in his loving memory to the Mr. Michael Coombs Memorial Fund. EMT donations can be sent to: sladesfuneralhomenl@gmail.com

The prayer service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11 A.M from Slade’s Funeral Home, Spaniards Bay. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s R.C. Cemetery, Spaniards Bay.
