Kushner, Michael Joseph
Passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton, on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the age of 61. Beloved son of the late Francis and Helen Kushner. Loved brother of Wanda Kushner (late Alfie), Susanna Miller (James), and Francis Kushner. Uncle of Kimberlee (Raymond), Tonya, Jake (Melissa), Michael (Cathy), Melissa and great uncle of Ashlyn, Logan, Sydney, Madison, Connor, Griffin, Ethan, and Zoie.
Mike in his early years started out in the hospitality industry in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He later went on to become a certified steamfitter. He moved to Ontario (Stoney Creek) in 1989, for employment with Dofasco ArcelorMittal, where he was a pipefitter for 31 years. He enjoyed playing hockey and golf and was a huge sports fan. He had a great sense of humour and often quoted jokes from Archie Bunker and Jackie Gleason. His walls were covered in pictures of Archie Bunker, Jackie Gleason, and the Three Stooges. His larger-than-life laugh will be missed by many.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Saturday January 7, 2023 from 12 noon until time of the Memorial Service at 1 p.m.
