Bartlett, Michael Joseph – born in Carbonear, on December 3, 1962.
After a brave battle with cancer, he passed peacefully through Heaven’s Gates on January 14, 2024 to join his father Richard Bartlett, sister Mary Dalton nee McHugh and special friend Kelly (Walsh) Rice.
He leaves behind with tremendously broken hearts his mother Agnes Bartlett; his brothers and sister, Vince (Gail Simms) Bartlett, Richard (Regina) Bartlett, and Margaret (Susie) (Jim) Kenny; brother-in-law Dan Dalton; nieces and nephews, Danielle (Trevor) Button and Andrew Dalton, Victoria Bartlett and Stephanie (Michael) Regular and baby Rory, Brent Kenny and special Godson Blake Kenny, and Kelly’s children, Nicholas, Adam and Krista; as well as many other cousins, relatives and special friends, from his many years working on the water while travelling around the world.
The family is eternally grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our family, neighbours and friends.
A special thank you to all of the extraordinary people who helped during his illness including, Drs. Ramjohn and Jones; doctors, nurses and support staff at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, and the wonderfully caring doctors and nurses at the Carbonear General Hospital.
Visitation will be at Broughton’s Funeral Home, 17 Station Road, Brigus on Wednesday, January 17 from 10am to 9pm.
Mass of Christian burial will take place from Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church, Marysvale, NL, at 11:00 am, January 18, 2024. Cremation and Interment to follow at a later date. A donation in his memory can be made to the SPCA or any charity of ones choice or by having a chat with those you meet just like he would have done.
