McDonald, Edward William, of Sherwood Park, Alberta, passed away at the age of 79 on January 2nd, 2023.
Born May 6, 1943, in Bootle, Liverpool. Eddie served in the British Army, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) in Great Britain, Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the Middle East.
His employment after the military took him to South Africa, South West Africa and Rhodesia before immigrating to Canada.
Past Master of Ye Olde Craft Lodge 196, Local Union 488 member.
A husband, a father, a grandfather and great grandfather .
Lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret of 58 years.
Children William (Suzanne), Lesley (Maurice) and Edward (Lynnette)
Grandchildren Jayden, Lucas, Ryan(Gosia), Eric, Katie, Kylie, Kayla, Kira and great grandchild Sofia.
Special thank you to Dr. Edward Gee, and Nancy Nord, his case manager and the brilliant and caring nurses from Strathcona County County Health Centre who came to our home to care for Eddie.
A Celebration of Eddie’s busy life will be held in the Spring.
