Maurice Sauvé of Glen Robertson passed away peacefully at the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge in Cornwall at the age of 89 on September 30, 2023.
Beloved husband of Colette Ménard.
Loving father of Nicole, Joel and Manon (Stéphane Leroux)
Proud grandfather of Stéphanie, and Vincent Leroux.
He is survived by his sister Thérèse (late Jean-Paul Boyer); his brother Ernest Sauvé (late Debbie); and by his sister-in-law Jocelyne.
He was predeceased by his parents Isaïe Sauvé and Cécile Lalonde; his brothers Arthur Sauvé and Raymond Sauvé (late Jessie): and his sister Marguerite Lalonde (late Raymond).
He will be remembered by all his family and many nieces and nephews.
Maurice was a dedicated volunteer of the Optimist Club, Social Centre, Parish of St. Martin, Diner’s Club and raised funds for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Relatives and friends may attend a visitation at the Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Church in Glen Roberson.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Diabetes Association, would be appreciated by the family.
