At the Palace LTC, Alexandria on Monday February 5, 2024. Maureen Joyce McDonald of Alexandria; at the age of 74 years. Loving mother James Alexakis (Judy), Joy Baron and John Alexakis. Proud grandmother of Kathryn & Nikolas Baron. Predeceased by her parents Donald J. McDonald and Rita Sayant; her two brothers Garfield McDonald (Cora) and Michael “Hugh” McDonald also by her long time partner, Terry Baker. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11 am in the St. Finnan’s Basilica. There will be an urn burial in St. Margaret of Scotland cemetery, Glen Nevis in the summer. In Memoriam donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Maureen, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows-memories live. Condolences may be offered at www.munromorris.com.
