Matthew Ryan Tingley
1985-2024
Matthew Ryan Tingley,
38, of Moncton, NB and formerly of Lower Cape, NB passed away
unexpectedly on August 4th, 2024. Matthew was born on November 4th,
1985, the son of Jill (Steeves) Tingley and the late Gary
Tingley.
Matthew graduated from Caledonia
Regional High School and furthered his education at NBCC by taking the
Culinary Arts program. He had a passion for cooking and baking and was
happy to share his creations with friends and family. He had a love
for cars, music and dancing. He often went to concerts where he would
dance like nobody was watching. When the Atlantic National Car Show he
was sure to be there and enjoyed taking pictures of the cars that
really caught his eye. He was a member of the YMCA and was a proud
participant in the Special Olympics in the sports of bowling, track,
and Bocce. He always showed true sportsmanship to his competitors as
well as his teammates.
Matthew was fortunate to have such a
wonderful support system throughout his life and he knew it. He had a
special place in his heart for his family, but also his caregivers,
Luanne, Terry, and Walter. Together they made many fond memories and
Matthew was grateful for every opportunity he was given to live his
life to the fullest.
Throughout his life, he had his fair
share of struggles, but his faith in God was unwavering and helped him
to move forward with grace. He was a member of the Lower Cape Baptist
Church prior to moving to town where he then became a member of The
Journey Church in Riverview. He was a part of the Illuminate program
provided by the Glad Tidings Church and made many friendships there.
He expressed his love for the Lord by being an example by showing
others kindness and compassion and being a listening ear to those in
need. As Matthew quoted on his facebook page the scripture »
Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should
follow in his steps.» 1 Peter 2:21. We take comfort in the fact
that Matthew is now with his Lord and Saviour.
He will be deeply missed by his
mother, Jill (Steeves) Tingley of Lower Cape, NB; brother, Nathaniel
Tingley of Fredericton, NB; aunt, Joanne Jonah (Laurie) of Squamish,
BC; uncles, Brent Steeves of Edgett’s Landing, Wayne Tingley (Rosalie)
of Fredericton, Daniel «Danny» Tingley (Lori) of Florida and
Howard Tingley (Denise) of Hillsborough. He will also be missed by his
extended family and special caregivers, Terry & Walker
MaKennan and Luanne Rafferty.
He was predeceased by his father, Gary
Tingley.
Honouring the families wishes there
will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be held in
the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape, NB.
For those who wish, donations to the
Journey Church (Riverview) or the Lower Cape Baptist Church would be
greatly appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are in the care of the
