Corner Brook, NL
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24th, 2024,at the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, Mercedes Wells in her 102nd year with family by her side.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children, Monica Wells, Randy Wells (Joan), Deborah Wells Smith (David) and Rosemary Bartlett (David); grandchildren Terri-Lynn Wells, Jeffrey Wells, Matthew Wells, Victoria Wells Smith (Lawrence), Josiah Bartlett, Grace Elliott (Jon); great grandchildren Rebecca King, Emma King, Michael Normore Wells, Harrison Wells and great great grandchildren Catherine Mercedes, Vera Ann, Poppy Megdellon and Hayes Gerard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Edward and Mary (Delaney); husband William Nelson Wells, siblings Joseph, Jack, Ethel, Maurice, Mary (Mamie), Josephine, William and Dominic; great grandson Kai Barron, and son-in-law Richard Pieklo.
Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday, December 26th from 2-4 pm. The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 27th at 10:30 AM from Sacred Heart Parish in Curling with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Parish.
