It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Mary «Marlene» Jarvis of Lawn, NL announces her passing. Marlene passed away at her home in Lawn, NL on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the age of 63.
Marlene had an immense amount of love for her family, especially her 7 grandchildren, who she cherished. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories her husband, Eric of 45 years; son, Eric Jarvis (Krista) of Deer Lake and Jonathan Jarvis of Lawn; daughter, Kristin King (Shawn) of Lawn; grandchildren, Tyler, Karissa, Aliyah, Isabella, Mackenzie, Caylee and Caeleb; sister, Lorna Ebadi (Adel); brothers, Sheldon Drake (Karen) and Ernie Drake (Tracey); brother-in-law, Gerard Jarvis (Jackie); sisters-in-law, Karen Jarvis, Gert Drake and Trudy Jarvis; special niece, Kayla Drake; nieces, Kim, Ashley and Natalie; nephews, Gerard, Jake, Keith, Shawn, Andrew, Jonah, Noah and Lucas; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Marlene was predeceased by her twin sister, Marilyn Drake; parents, Anna Mary & Ernest Drake; parents-in-law, Leona & Valentine Jarvis; brother, Keith Drake; brothers-in-law, William Jarvis and Barry Jarvis; and nephew, Michael Ebadi.
The Jarvis Family would like to extend a thank you to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Dialysis Unit who have been amazing in their care of Marlene for nearly 10 years. Thank you to the paramedics and ambulance drivers for their many years of treatment. And a special thank you to her friend and homecare worker, Esther Roul for all the years of wonderful care.
The Jarvis Family will be accepting visitors at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Lawn on:
Thursday, March 21st
4pm – 9pm
Friday, March 22nd
4pm – 9pm
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Lawn on:
Saturday, March 23rd at 12:30pm
Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lawn.
In Marlene’s memory, in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Name of Mary Academy Breakfast Program or the
Burin Peninsula Health Care Dialysis Unit.
