Mary Frances (Frankie) Richard (née Perry) passed away peacefully at Empress Gardens on March12, 2024. Frankie of Peterborough, formerly of Toronto and PEI, was 91 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Gerry Richard. Loving Aunt of many nieces and nephews and loving Grand Aunt of many Grand Nieces and Nephews. Daughter of John Perry and Alice Fennessey of Tignish, PEI. Loving sister of Aldona Morrissey, Lena Handrahan, Irma O’Rourke, and Lester Perry, and the late Aurella Tremblay, Shirley Kinch, Johnny Perry, Edna Doucette, Alfred Fennessey, Peter Perry and Edmund Perry. Frankie will be remembered fondly by many other relatives and friends.
A retired audit officer with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Frankie loved spending time with her sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews and all extended family. She enjoyed playing cards, watching television, and shopping.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Empress Gardens Retirement Home for their excellent care, compassion and kindness.
As per her request, a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 859 Barnardo Avenue, Peterborough on Wednesday, March 20 at 11 am. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mississauga, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated. Donations and condolences to the family may be made at www.AshburnhamFuneral.ca
