Peacefully at St Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Marion Wallace (nee Fleming) of Belmont in her 94th year. Beloved Mother to Don Wallace of Port Stanley. Cherished Grandmother to Jamie Wallace (Gillian Hazael) of Belmont and David Wallace of London and loving Great Grandmother to Owen and Emma. Dear aunt to Lesley (David) Wilson of London, Taylor (Mary) Wallace of Woodstock, John Elliott of Halifax, NS and Jennifer Elliott of Hamilton. Deeply missed by her sister Jean Elliott of Hamilton. Predeceased by her beloved husband Alvin “Dick” Wallace (1979) and her cherished sons Doug Wallace (2006) and James “Jim” Wallace (2018). Marion was a dedicated teacher for most of her life, teaching Grade One at Willowdale and River Heights elementary schools. She was very active in her church community of Harrietsville United Church for many years. Marion was also an avid choir member and enjoyed her years of singing with the St. Thomas chapter of the Sweet Adelines and the Aylmer community choir as well as singing with the Harrietsville United Church choir. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Bieman Funeral Home (3970 Hamilton Rd, Dorchester, ON) on Thursday August 31st from 12-2pm and 5-7pm. A memorial service will be held on Friday September 1st at 11am at Bieman Funeral Home with a reception following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (55 St Clair Avenue West, Suite 500 Toronto, ON M4V 2Y7) or The Belmont Community Park (P.O Box 128, Belmont, ON N0L 1B0).
