Marina Victoire d’Entremont, age 85 of Nakile Home
for Special Care, Argyle and formerly of West Pubnico, died April 9,
2023 in the home. Born in West Pubnico, she was a daughter
of the late Eldridge François and Luella Marie
(d’Entremont) d’Entremont. She was a
member of St. Vincent de Paul, Les Nouveaux Horizons de la Baronnie
and the Retired Teacher’s Organization. She is
survived by her son Martial (Stacey) West Pubnico, sisters; Etta
(Raymond) d’Entremont, Ottawa, Annette
d’Entremont, Lower West Pubnico, Berthe d’Eon,
West Pubnico and Barbara (Larry) Hall, Bridgewater. Marina
was predeceased by her husband Gilbert Augustin d’Entremont,
brothers; Hubert, François and Tom, sister;
Jacqueline.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 6:30-8pm in
the West Pubnico Funeral Home, Middle West Pubnico. A Mass
of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 10am in
St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Middle West Pubnico with
Fr. Mathieu Agbaya officiating. The funeral will be live
streamed on the West Pubnico Funeral Home and Cremation Services
Facebook page beginning at 10am. Interment will be
in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to
St. Vincent de Paul, Les Nouveaux Horizons de la Baronnie, St.
Peter’s Church, Nakile Home for Special Care or the
Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia. On line

Marina graduated from Normal College in Truro at the age of
18. She began teaching right away, first in Quinan
Consolidated School and then at École Pubnico Ouest, having
taught generations of 7th and
8th graders. She retired after 45
years of teaching. Marina loved her family, was a devout
Roman Catholic and was very involved in her community. She
loved being outdoors, gardening, planting flowers and going for long
walks. Marina and Gil took many vacations
together. Her kind smile and her kind demeanor will always
be remembered. Love you Mom. XO
