Memorial Donation
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother, Marilyn Elizabeth Ryan (nee Kennedy) on March 19, 2024 aged 67 years. Originally from St. John’s with the majority of her life spent in Marysvale. Predeceased by her husband Terry Ryan, Parents Kevin and Shirley Kennedy, and mother-in-law, Evelyn Ryan.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, Children Mark and Krista (Shane). Siblings Ted (Anne), Paul (Liz), Linda (Shannon) as well as a large circle of extended family from the Kennedy and Ryan families, especially a special brother-in-law Brian Ryan, who was always there for Mom. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Our mother was a strong, and caring woman. She loved going for drives to get a Dairy Queen ice cream, spending time reading and being outside in the garden. Her courage, and determination will forever be imprinted on our hearts.
Special thanks to Dr. Shik who took amazing care of our mother over the past 10 years. Your kindness and caring nature with our mother will never be forgotten. Also the staff of Alderwood Estates, Mom had a short, but sweet stay there, Thank you for making her feel welcome.
Visitation will be held at Broughton’s funeral home in Brigus on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
Funeral Service will be held at the Broughton’s Memorial Chapel in Brigus on Friday March 22, 2024 at 10:30am
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Newfoundland and Labrador Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
