Obituary For Marilyn Karen Toutant
Marilyn Karen Toutant (nee Stanley), resident of Leduc, AB, formerly of Grande Prairie, AB area, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 78.
Karen was born on June 27, 1944, in Grande Prairie, and grew up on a farm near Bezanson AB. Karen worked many years in the Grande Prairie area as a teacher’s aid at the Composite High School, Crystal Park School, and volunteered at a group home for children with special needs.
Karen will be sadly missed by her partner Marty; children: Morgan, and Daniel (Michelle); grandchildren: Brandon (Christian), Kirsten, Colby, Layne, Simone, Taylor, Shayla, Ethan, and Sheldon; great-grandchildren, as well as her numerous brothers and sisters.
She was predeceased by her husband Morris, daughter Deanna, sisters Carol, and Yvonne, her parents Glenn and Anita, and stepparents Alfred and Yvette.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 11:00 am at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). Interment to follow at the Grande Prairie Cemetery (84th Ave. and 112th St).
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
