April 30, 1953 – July 7, 2023
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, it is with profound sadness, and broken hearts, that we, the family of Marilyn Spracklin, share the sad news of her passing on July 7, 2023, at the age of 70. She passed away peacefully at the Carbonear General Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, John and Joyce Bradbury; Parents in law, Edmund and Phylis Spracklin; Brother, Eric Bradbury; Nephews, Paul Bradbury and Wyatt Tobin
Will be forever remembered and sadly missed by her loving husband of 51 years, Hector; sons, Vincent and Blair (Nikki), daughter, Nicole.
Four cherished grandchildren, Haiden, Sophye, Briella, and Brayden.
Brothers, Walter (Judy), Fred (Diane), Paul (Barb), sisters, Maxine (Craig), Rowena (Rodney), Michelle (Glen).
As well as many nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends.
Marilyn will be fondly remembered as a pillar of strength, love, courage and guidance to all that knew her.
Marilyn’s chair for a game of 120’s, will never be replaced.
Resting at Broughtons Funeral Home, Brigus.
Visitation to take place on July 8 & 9, 2023, from 10 -12 pm, 2 – 4 pm, 7 – 9 pm; July 10, 2023, from 10 – 12 pm.
Funeral to take place on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 2 pm at the Brigus United Church, with interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Englishtown, Brigus.
At Marilyn’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Brigus United Church or Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation
