ABBOTT, Marian Adelle Therese – Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday November 7, 2024 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Abbott (2012). Loving mother of Bill (Linda) Abbott, Grahame (Nicole) Abbott and Colleen (Guy) Celli. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Caring sister of Joseph Bernard Benn, the late Katherine Cooper and the late Barbara Munro. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Marian’s family would like to thank Dr. Allison MacTavish, Dr. Heather Wilkie, the staff at Lundy Manor and the staff of Unit C at the GNGH for their wonderful care. A special thank you to Fr. Stephen Bruzzese, Fr. Stuart MacDonald, Fr. Daniel Corso, Fr. Ronald Angervil and Fr. Gerard Power for celebrating her funeral mass.
A private family Funeral Mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church followed by Rite of Committal at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Covenant House or have a Memorial Mass celebrated in her memory.
