It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maria, a devoted wife, cherished mother, beloved Nonna, and adored bisnonna. Maria peacefully departed this world on July 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Maria leaves behind her beloved husband Antonio and their daughter Connie (Chris). She was a source of joy and guidance to her grandchildren Adele (Jerry), Albert (Michele), Deanna (Paolo), and Robert (Sukhmani), and a cherished bisnonna to Michael, Maria, Anthony, Daniel, Dante, and Matteo. She also leaves behind her loving brother Francesco (Maria – deceased).
In heaven, Maria is reunited with her daughter Cristina (Antonio), and her siblings Mattia (Dorotea), and Teresa (Pasquale), along with her parents and other loved ones who have gone before her.
Maria’s life was characterized by faith, love for her family, and a joyful spirit. She found immense joy in singing with the church choir, and she delighted in travel, cooking, and baking. Those who knew her best remember her always with a duster in hand, ensuring everything was in order. She also found relaxation in watching game shows and pursuing her hobbies in sewing and handiwork.
Visitations for Maria will be held at Demarco Funeral Home – Keele Chapel (3725 Keele Street, Toronto, Ontario) on Friday, July 5th, 2024, from 2-4 & 6-9pm. A Mass to celebrate her life will take place at St. Wilfrid’s Catholic Church (1675 Finch Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario) on Saturday, July 6th at 9:30am, followed by an entombment ceremony at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (7300 Highway #27, Woodbridge, Ontario).
Maria’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
