With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Antonietta Pisani at the age of 62. Maria Antonietta departed this world peacefully after a tough battle she was unfortunately not able to overcome.
She is reunited in heaven with her father Giuseppe and mother Maria where her pain, fears, anxieties, worries and tiredness are put to rest. Maria Antonietta was a devoted mother to Pamela Marie and her son in law, Edgar. She was a cherished Nonna to her grandchildren, Alessandro Matteo and Fiamma Samira. Maria Antonietta will be fondly remembered by her lifelong friend, Angelo. Her memory will be lovingly held by her siblings: Cosimo, Maria and family, Liberata and family, Ralph and family, and Maria Pia Schiafone. She will also be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews.
Maria Antonietta lived a tough life, overcoming many obstacles like a warrior. She was down-to-earth, sweet, kind, caring, loving, honest, trustworthy, loyal, and understanding—a beautiful woman inside and out.
She loved children and was a dedicated daycare teacher for 12 years. In her professional life, she helped many people and touched countless hearts as a medical secretary for 18 years. Forever in the hearts of her dear grandchildren, whom she cherished and loved as her own children, she was a devoted second mother to them.
With a sense of humor like her dad and a sense of tough love like her mom, she left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was an amazing best friend, role model, and rock to her daughter Pamela. And unconditional tough love like her mom. Antonietta was precious like a rare gem✨️
I sat by your bed side and shared all of the things with you. I cried, I laughed, I even said aloud «mom, wake up mom just for a lil pleasee» I finally did it….I told you to reach your hands out to nonna and nonno and let them take you home and finally I set you free, where you wanted to go and be. My angel, moving forward my heart will continue to ache for part of me is dead and has gone w you to heaven. I turn to you to give me much strength to carry on my precious family, may you watch over them for they are my life as you were my all….with you not here it won’t be easy no doubt. I’m so jealous of the angels right now that are sitting around you at the throne in paradise but I know they are all the angels that loved you very much and are celebrating the joy your presence brought walking through those gates of heaven.
When the sun is shining. I know it will be you smiling down at me…When it’s raining, I know it will be you sending me blessings…When it thunders I know it will be you telling me to stay strong and push through my challenges…When the wind caresses me I’ll know it’s you giving me your love. ..when it’s so quiet I will know your right there near me perhaps just watching and hopefully being proud of the women I am thanks to you and the one of a kind mom you were to me, with all your love, guidance, support and sacrifices you gave me a wonderful life. I am forever blessed and grateful.

Visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road, 905.850.9500) on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass in her honour will be celebrated on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at All Saints Roman Catholic Church (1415 Royal York Road, Etobicoke, ON). Following the Mass, an Entombment Service will be conducted at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane Street, Concord, ON).
Maria Antonietta will be profoundly missed, forever respected and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A legacy of love and cherished memories is left behind by her presence and impact on many. May she rest in peace.
