Obituary of Margaret Reid
REID, Margaret (Peggy) (nee Tees) of Port Dover, passed peacefully Sunday January 29, 2023 at Norfolk General Hospital after fighting a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Beloved and devoted mother of Patsy Dorish (Paul), Judy Whitenect (Robert) and Jenn Topp (Rick). Cherished grandmother of Michael Dorish (Kelly), Tom Dorish (Leslie), Kyle Hukezalie and Abi Anissimova (Tagir). Proud great – grandmother of Kaia Dorish and Lillyan Anissimova. Sadly missed by son-in-law Ray Giles (Liz). Peggy will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her husband Doug, daughter Donna Giles, grandson Hunter Dorish, parents Tommy and Eva Tees, sisters Judy Eyford, Betty Tees and brother Charles. Peggy was blessed to have many friends including the «Club Girls «or as they were known «The Dirty Dozen». Peggy was active in her community and was Doug’s biggest sports fan. Special thanks to Cedarwood Apartment staff and her many friends at Cedarwood including her childhood friend Mardella Roberts. Everyone helped her in so many ways over the past couple of years. Thanks also to Aunt Jean Lowe, Flo Hunter, Jackie Esselmont and June Miller for their many phone calls to mom. Huge thanks to Corey (Nurse Practioner with Care Partners) and staff, as well as, Denise (Care Coordinator with HNHB Home and Community Services) and all the services she organized to help with mom’s care. Your professionalism and compassion will not be forgotten. Thank you as well goes to the Norfolk General Hospital and staff for their compassion and care.
