Margaret Mary Sparkes, at the age of 79 years, passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on June 09, 2024.
Predeceased by her parents Martin and Mary (Molly) Brophy, brother David and sister-in-law, Marguerite, sister and best friend Linda (Pat) Bruce, mother and father-in-law John and Jennie Sparkes
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 39 years, Frank, brother-in-law Pat Bruce
Sister-in-laws: Sue (Fred), Bernice (Dean), Mary (Terry), Phyllis (Bern)
Brother-in laws: Jordan (Eileen), Cyril (Viola), Cecil (Pearl), Rod (Rose), Melvin (Winnie), Derm (Judy), Russell as well as a large number of nephews and nieces.
Special friends Tony Bennett, Emmie Youden and Rod Bartlett
Born in Inverness, Scotland, Margaret came to Canada with her parents as a young child.
Margaret loved people, a good dance, baking, cooking and a good chat. She would fill the room with her laughter.
She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Thank You to the kind and compassionate staff, for the care that Margaret received while at the Carbonear General hospital.

Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home: Visitation to take place on Thursday, June 13th from 12 – 9:00 pm.
Celebration of Life to take place at Broughton’s Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 14th at 2:00 pm.
Flowers greatly appreciated, or a donation can be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Cremation has taken place, inurnment to take place at a later date.
