Margaret Bartlett (nee O’ Flaherty), at 99 Years old, passed away peacefully at the Carbonear General Hospital with her family by her side on May 16, 2023
Predeceased by her husband John, son Steve and infant son Michael, her father and mother John and Mary (nee Kearney) O’ Flaherty, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Michael and Margaret Bartlett, her brothers Patrick (Theresa) and Ignatius (Kathleen) ; her sisters Mary (Jim) and Elizabeth (Gerald).
She leaves to mourn her sons Frank (Jean) and John (Clair); daughters Joan, Carmel Price (Cecil), Peg Skanes (Ron), Carol Tobin (Ron) and daughter-in-law Olive, Her grandchildren Terry Bartlett, Michael Bartlett (Erin), Cheryl Bartlett Mullowney (Jim), Tracey Squires (Ross), Lisa Skanes (Paul), Lori Norris (James), Stephen Bartlett, Renee Skanes (Joel), Ronnie Skanes, Holly Tobin (Glen), Vanessa Price (Justin) Zachary Tobin and Carla Bartlett (Daniel), Her great-grandchildren Brianna Squires, Cassie Squires, Hilary Norris, Samantha Norris, Mackenzie Norris, Abby Mullowney, Ryder Bartlett, Declan Mcintyre, Isabella Mcintyre, Keegan Williams and McKenna Williams. Her sisters-in-law, Madeline and Agnes and numerous nephews and nieces.
To her daughter Joan, special appreciation and gratitude for her care and devotion to enable Mom to remain in her own home. A special thank to her family physician Dr. Ramjohn, who provided the utmost medical care and especially for the home visits. To Father Al Credo, for being her spiritual advisor and administering at home which meant so much to her. To her caregivers Connie and Betty, for their care, compassion, and kindness which was so much appreciated.
Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Thursday, May 18 from 12 pm to 9 p.m., Friday, May 19 from 12 p.m.-9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 20, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Snows Church, Marysvale. Interment to follow at the R.C. Parish Cemetery, Brigus.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the R.C. Cemetery Fund Brigus.
