Marcia Lynne Lees passed away suddenly on Friday, June 7, 2024. She was born in Regina, SK on February 19, 1944. Marcia was predeceased by her parents Norman and Madeline Jones. She is survived by her life partner of 59 years Kenner; daughter Denise (Dave); sons Graham (Hayley) and Daryl (Charlene). Also survived by grandchildren Rachel Taylor (Eric), Erin Taylor, Brodie Hepp (Kelsey), Josh Lees (Kaitlyn), Emma Lees, Tyler Lees and Jenna Lees; as well as great grandchildren Sophia and Lucas.
Marcia worked at SaskTel for a few years but after Denise was born, she became a full-time homemaker. Marcia was very proud of her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments. She loved having the grandchildren around and attended as many of their activities as possible, whether it was for sports, dance or other events. Marcia loved sitting around the campfire with family and friends. She was involved in figure skating as an official, working competitions from Victoria to Newfoundland. Her proudest achievement was being an official at the Calgary Olympics. Marcia was also a member of the Lumsden Oldtimer Rockers.
Marcia really enjoyed spending winters in Meza, Arizona, where she and Kenner spent 10 years enjoying the warmth and the summer months at their cottage in Kenosee. Marcia was an avid Roughrider and Blue Jays fan, especially her favourite player Bo.
She will be dearly missed.
There will be no service held at Marcia’s request. A social will be held at a later date for family and friends. Have a glass of wine in her honour. Those wishing to make a donation may do so to the Saskatchewan Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
