It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Louise Slaney of St. Lawrence announces her passing. Louise passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the age of 81.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Aloysius Slaney (Darlene) of Grand Falls – Windsor; Wade Slaney (Tracey) of St. Lawrence, Corey Slaney of Churchill Falls, Scott Slaney (Tammy) of St. Lawrence, Brad Slaney (Alexandria) of Paradise and Chris Slaney (Jennifer) of St. Lawrence; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosella King of Point Au Gaul and Elsie Cousins of Ontario; brother-in-law, John (TJ) Slaney of St. Lawrence; special friend, Vera Edwards of St. Lawrence; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Louise was predeceased by her husband, Michael Slaney; great-granddaughter, Shyla Slaney; parents, Felix & Caroline Lockyer; and sister, Sylvia Slaney (Peter).
The Slaney Family will be accepting visitors at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, St. Lawrence on:
Tuesday, April 9th
7pm – 9pm
Wednesday, April 10th
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, St. Lawrence on:
Thursday, April 11th, 2024 at 10:30am.
Interment to follow at Mount Cecilia Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Lawrence.
In Louise’s memory, in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation.
