Lorna Vivian Gunter (Armstrong) passed away with her daughter by her side at Hastings Centennial Manor on August 25, 2024 at the age of 96. Lorna Gunter, beloved wife of the late Bud, loving mother of Rebekah (& Kevin) McNeill, mother in law of Chris Gunter and predeceased by her sons, Jud and Ray. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jesse & Marilyn, Sarah & Jeff, Joseph & Jaime, Nicholas, Heather & Tom and Jamie and by her great grandchildren, Carson, Ben, Logan, Jackson, Aiden, Austin, Becky and Emily. Lorna is survived by her siblings, Hilda Peever of Bancroft and Arlie Martin of Lakefield. She was predeceased by Rick, Mervin and Leola and by her parents, Raymond & Mildred Armstrong. Lorna was born and raised in New Carlow and moved to Bancroft in 1950 where she remained and raised her family with Bud. Lorna loved to feed people and was an amazing cook, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, tending her flowers and gardens, taking road trips, travelling, camping and being with her family which meant the world to her. Lorna’s faith was always of utmost importance to her and she is now resides in her eternal home. May she rest in peace.
