After a short but courageous battle with cancer, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on February 7th, 2023, Lorna Alexander of Chatham passed away in her 85th year. Cherished daughter of the late Earl and Margaret Hands. Beloved wife of Bill. Loving mother of Janet Willmore and her husband Larry of Woodstock, Jim and his wife Yvonne of Newmarket, and Karen Sparks and her husband Todd of Chatham. Proud Nana/Grandma of Kyle Willmore (Ashley), Chris Alexander (Nicole), Danielle Alexander (Dave), Ryan Sparks (Nicole) and Craig Sparks (Jordan). Great Grandmother of Everleigh, Eli and Ember Sparks. Sister of Beth Crisp of Chatham.
Lorna was an active member and Past President of the May Court Club of Chatham. She was a volunteer at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for 18 years. The last few years she enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels Chatham-Kent.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life that will be held on Saturday February 11th, 2023, visiting from 1 to 4 pm at the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710. Reflections will be shared by the family at 3 pm. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider St. Andrew’s Residence Foundation or Meals On Wheels Chatham-Kent.
