It is with great sadness that
the family of Lloyd James Sinclair announce his passing on March 12,
2024 surrounded by his family.
Lloyd was born in the Parish of
New Maryland, February 5th, 1936. He
is survived by his loving wife of 62 years; Alice Sinclair (Attrux)
along with his five favorite daughters and their
children: Geraldeen
Sinclair-Kerr (Graham); Jebb Sinclair (Kylie) and Alice-Jane Kerr
(Oliver), Lorrie Sinclair; Shyanne Everett (Matt) & Shane
Phillips, Bernadeen Mcleod (Brian); Taylor Flietstra (Curtis), Dr.
Tatum Burdo (Dr. Anthony), Jamielee Barnard (Christian), Larissa
Bruckeder (Florian), Wanda Schuttenbeld (John); Mike Sandwith, Harri
Schuttenbeld (Anna), Dr. Melissa Sinclair (Dr. Robert), Anna &
Alexander Swackhammer.
Lloyd adored his great
grandchildren: Addy, Emmit, Mackenzie, Joy, Luke, Cassidy,
and Maya.
Lloyd is also survived by his
siblings, Dawna Turnbull, Joan Roberts, George Sinclair (Mary) and
stepbrother Doug Kerton, along with several nieces and
nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Florence Kerton,
stepfather Bob Kerton, father Ralph Sinclair and sister Barbara Ann
Jewett.
Lloyd spent his working
years’ operating heavy equipment which led to a successful
sales career including many years at A.L.P.A. Equipment Ltd.
Lloyd was a skilled heavy equipment operator and could run
any piece of equipment. Lloyd and his family
shared many happy memories of draft horse shows and sleigh
rides.
After retiring, he loved
spending time with family, working around his yard and barn, and
playing a game of 45’s. If we could all just have
one more game of cards with Dad and
Grampie.
We would like to acknowledge
the wonderful care from Heidi and Shawna of the Extra-Mural hospital
program and the doctors, nurses, and staff of 3SW at the DECH, for
their empathetic care for Dad during his final
days.
At Lloyd’s request,
there will be no visitation or funeral.
Donations can be made in
Lloyd’s memory to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation,
or the Canadian Lung Association in lieu of
flowers.
