Reeds, Lise Albertine (née Fortin) – Passed away peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit of Ross Memorial Hospital on Tuesday September 5, 2023 in her 82nd year.
As a young woman, Lise was sent to Lindsay from La Sarre Quebec to learn English. Her bilingualism was unique to Lindsay at that time, earning her special requests to assist with translation in business matters and court trials. Married to her husband Merle in 1967, they later built Merle Reeds Insurance Brokers Ltd, where they worked together for many decades.
Lise is predeceased by her beloved husband Merle (2009) and survived by her only son, Brian and his wife Amy. Cherished grandmother to Abigail and Audrey, and loved by her sister Lillie Parker and brother-in-law Michael. Special memories will be cherished by her niece Ashley Lise Parker and nephew Christopher Parker. A private service for family to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an organization of choice.
