With great sadness we announce Linda’s passing on October 14, 2023 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Linda Sandalack was born on January 1, 1950. Linda loved to make things beautiful. Together with her husband and two sons, she made their home and yard a place where everyone would gather to celebrate and make memories. Linda was a devoted mother who loved children and dogs. Linda had a great sense of humor and truly cared about others. She always treated everyone as if they were such an important part of her life.
Linda enjoyed traveling, cooking, decorating and baking. She worked in her flower gardens in the summer and made quilts and crafts in the winter.
Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years John Sandalack, her son Benjamin and partner Kim, her son Nathan and partner Chelsea (daughters Josie and Marli Wagstaff), brother-in-law Ron Sandalack, sister-in-law Carol Munroe, brother-in-law Al Sandalack and partner Pat, as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Also mourning her passing are half sister Susan Clevenger, cousin Tom Wood and his wife Jan and their daughter Andrea (Hunter and Taylor), cousin Brian Wood (Colter and Casey) and Connie Feildel (Allan and Charlotte), She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Gordon Armstrong, sister-n-law Judy Sandalack and niece Dannella Munroe.
Linda attended Thompson Elementary School, Sheldon-Williams Collegiate (1964-1968) and Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing (1968-1971). After earning her degree she spent a year abroad in Paris, France. Then she began her career at Montmartre Hospital in Saskatchewan. She also nursed at the Regina Plains Hospital and the Regina Pasqua Hospital until her retirement in 2002. Linda canvassed for the Heart and Stroke Foundation for many years.
A private gathering for family/friends will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and love.
For those wishing to honour Linda’s memory a donation a to the Regina Humane Society would be appreciated.
We will always be together.
