LACHANCE, Linda Carole (Gibeault) – Slipped away peacefully with her family by her side on December 30th after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 80. Beloved wife and best friend to Pierre “Peter” Lachance. Loving mother of David Lachance, and Christine (Dan) Walters. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her four grandchildren; Hailey, Mackenzie, Aiden, and Talia, by sister-in-law Cecilia Wylie, and by all her cousins.
Linda was born in Hamilton, raised in Saint Eustache, and after marrying the love of her life and best friend Peter, they settled in Dollard Des Ormeaux where they raised their family before moving to Oakville, Ontario. In her retirement, she moved to Niagara-On-The-Lake where she made many dear friends.
Linda had the biggest heart and opened her door and arms to many. An avid traveler, Linda enjoyed many sunny Caribbean vacations over the years, and especially cherished the winters they spent in Florida, and all the wonderful friends made there. Her love of life and friendship made her the person you were proud to call friend, wife, Nana, and especially, Mom.
In honour of her wishes, Linda has been cremated and will wait for her life partner to join her at rest. Arrangements entrusted to Morse & Son Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to Walker Family Cancer Centre in St. Catharines or the Canadian Cancer Society.
