Lillian Lenora (Day) Beaver – It is with heavy
hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother,
Lillian. She was born in Halifax on August 22, 1928; died
April 18, 2023 at Neill Hall (Shannex), Fredericton,
NB.
Lillian’s career started prior to her marriage she
worked at Robert Simpsons Ltd., then at G & M
Murphy’s sewing. After her marriage she became as a stay at
home mom taking care of her children, once her youngest child was in
high school, she began her professional career again; worked for
several years with the cleaning staff at the Victoria Public Hospital,
Fredericton then transferred to the Oromocto Public Hospital,
Oromocto, when dad was transferred to Greenwood NS, she worked as a
school crossing guard, after dad’s retirement they returned
to New Maryland where she became a personal care worker for several
years until she retired.
Lillian was the last surviving member of her immediate
family. She was the daughter of the late Bernard Edward Day
(Halifax) and Margaret «Alice» Sampson (Canso).
She was predeceased by spouse: Bertram Lee Beaver (Halifax), brothers:
Bernard; Joseph; Cecil; Michael; James, sisters: Helen; Mary Agnes;
Mary Frances; 1 great grandchild.
She is survived by daughter: Judith Ingram (Richard), sons:
Michael (Carolyn) and Thomas; 8 grandchildren; 10 great
grandchildren.
No visitation by request of family. Funeral service
will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 21st; at the
Church of Sts. John & Paul Parish, New Maryland, with Rev.
Peter Osborne officiating. Reception to follow in Sts. J
& P Family Centre. Private burial will be in
Hermitage Cemetery, Fredericton at a later date.
