Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Leslie Francis Hynes at home in Quidi Vidi Village surrounded by his loving family at the age of 82.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories his loving wife of 62 years and best friend “Lot”, children Les (Linda), Randy (Roz), Edwina (Albert), Petula (Brian), Juanita (Bernie), Jim (Jacqui), Faye (John); 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Thank you to our friends and neighbours for your many acts of kindness.
Very special thanks to the staff of ICU and 7th floor west for all your support in getting our dad home to the love of his life, our mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation will be held at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Thursday, January 25th, 2024. Service details to be announced.
God looked around his garden, and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest, God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw that the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So, he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, “peace be thine”. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
