LESKOSEK, Wendy Jean
April 19, 1954 — January 1, 2023
Our sister Wendy passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior at Kelowna General Hospital on January 1, 2023 with family at her side. Wendy Jean Leskosek was born on April 19, 1954 in Pincher Creek AB; the 4th of 9 children. She grew up in Kelowna, graduating from KSS in 1972. She is predeceased by her parents Joe and Appolonia (Lonie)Leskosek, her brother Randy, and her brother-in-law Marlon. Wendy is survived by 4 brothers; Richard (Donna), Joseph (Mesa), David (Antonia) and Lester (Tammy); her sisters Pauline (Ted) Bonk, Diane Meade, Donna (Ian) Rabourn, her sister-in-law Wendy, 12 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews. Wendy was a very caring and generous person who gave of herself freely to her family. Her favourite pastime was reading and in later years took up gardening. She liked to swim, camp and clean house. Cooking together with her sisters creating new dishes as well as traditional ones for the family was always a joy with Wendy. She was the one who remembered everyone’s birthday and kept us all informed. She was a beautiful person whose presence will be missed most every day and we will hold her in our hearts until we see her again.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the BC Children’s Charity Hospital or the Covenant House in Vancouver.
A “family” Celebration of Life will be held at Springfield Funeral Home on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 4:00 pm. Anyone is welcome to join us on the LIVESTREAM at that time or watch it later.
