The family of

Leo loved the

grandchildren. He had a great sense of humour and was always joking
and teasing his family and friends. Most of all, Leo was a God-fearing
and dedicated child of God who always read his
bible.
Leo worked as
a security guard at Victoria General Hospital in Halifax and later
became a welder at Trenton Car Works for twenty-plus
years.

Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Lindy McNamara, Cole Harbour; foster
brothers, John Parris, Upper Big Tracadie; and Michael Downey,

cherished his stepchildren, Wayne Desmond (Joy), Tracey Gero (Tommy),
April Desmond (Tommy), Stacey Desmond (Terry), Jennifer Desmond
(Jeff), and Everald Desmond (Jenny), twelve grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Besides his
parents, Leo was predeceased by brothers, Anthony Borden and Paul
Borden; sister, Ida Borden; foster brother, James McNamara;
