Obituary
Lee Cleary
Edmonton/North Sydney
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Lee Cleary age 72, on September 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving family in Edmonton, Alberta.
Born in North Sydney, April 12th, 1951, Lee was the first of four children of the late Harry and Catherine (Myler) Cleary. Always the life of the party, Lee was quick to laugh and even quicker with a joke. The only thing quicker than his sense of humour was the way he drove, spending many years driving ambulance and taxi for the family business, Blue and White. He spent most of his years in North Sydney and moved to Alberta later in life to be with his family there. With his grandchildren being the center of his life, you could always count on the sight of him hand in hand with his favorite little people exploring all that was around.
Lee is survived by his grandchildren Brooklynne, Erica, Grayson, Benedict, daughters Dana and Annon, sons Paul and Patrick, brother Kevin (Nancy) Cleary, sister Eileen Cleary, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his baby sister Norma J Cleary.
At Lee’s request, there will be no service, and in lieu of flowers, a suggested donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be sent to the family by leaving a message on the tribute wall of the obituary at www.wjdooley.com.
