It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved daughter, sister and fiancée, Leah, at age 24. Leah passed away surrounded by family at McKenzie Health in Vaughan, Ontario due to surgical complications. Leah was born September 22, 1998 to Peter and April (Wilson) Green of Monastery.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her one true love, Guramrit (Gary) Birdi of Vaughan, Ontario; siblings, Lindsay (Jonathan Spin) of Monastery; Pamela (Pete Manna) of Lindsay, Ontario; David (Antonia Kolliniatis) of Toronto, Ontario; grandmother, Gertrude Wilson, of Allison, New Brunswick; in-laws, Jaswant (Harjinder) Birdi, of Brampton, Ontario; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leah was predeceased by her grandparents, Albert and Catherine (Huntley) Green of Linwood and grandfather, Ralph Wilson, of Little River, New Brunswick and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Leah captivated many people she met by her contagious laugh, her free spirit and sense of humour. She was a wonderful nail tech at the Antigonish Nail Boutique. She took pride in all her clients and cherished each and every one of them.
Leah and Gary had planned to move home to Monastery in June and return to her job at the Antigonish Nail Boutique.
Leah loved animals, especially cats. She leaves behind her fur baby, King in Monastery and kitties, Willow, Hazel and Lilly in Vaughan, Ontario.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Center, Havre Boucher on Thursday April 20th and Friday April 21st from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Paul’s Parish, Havre Boucher, on Saturday April 22nd, 2023 at 11am; Rev. Allan MacPhie officiating, with interment in the Grosvenor Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Harve Boucher Community Centre.
