Lawrence «Tony» Penney Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lawrence «Tony» Penney announce his passing on , Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, at Sir Thomas Roddick hospital with his family by his side.
His love for the outdoors was evident in his favorite pastimes: hunting, fishing, and sharing stories while playing cards and having a yarn with his many friends.
Tony’s memory will be cherished by: his devoted wife of 52 years, Gertrude; his children: Daphne (Colin), Tony (Pietra), and Summie: and his beloved grandchildren: Ty, Evan, Brielle, and Summerlyn. He is also survived by: his brothers: Harold, Jack, and Joe; and sisters: Nellie and Linda; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Pearl and Harold, and his brothers Sydney and Matthew.
Following Tony’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for their compassionate care during his final days.
