The sudden passing of Lawrence «Laurie» Everitt West occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the age of 84 years. Laurie was born in Halifax, NS on November 1, 1939 the son of the late John and Pearl (Tanner) West.
Laurie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia West of Fredericton, NB; son John West (Julie); twin daughters, Jane (Steven) Savage and Joan West all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jim Culliton, John West, Robert West (Kristina) all of Edmonton, AB, Melanie Bouchard (Earl) of Nova Scotia, Danny Bouchard of Fredericton, NB; great-grandchildren, Asher Frazer of Stanley, NB and Caroline Bouchard of Nova Scotia; brothers Lenard (Marg), Eddie (Francis), Jackie (Carol), Donny (Helana) all of Nova Scotia and Wayne of Vancouver Island; sisters, Shirley (Omar) of Ontario, Marilyn (Gary) of Nova Scotia; brother-in-law Bev McFarland of Fredericton, NB; Laurel Wilkins (Myles) of Waasis, NB; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Predeceased by his parents John and Pearl; sisters, Lillian DeWolf (Stewart), Carol Moore, Linda Foram (Mike), John and Pearl.
A celebration of Laurie’s life will be held at a later date.
