Peacefully passed away, with family by her side, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in her 99th year.
Beloved wife and best friend of the late Gord Garrison (2009).
Loving mother of Carolyn Garrison, Terri Garrison (Don Shackleton), Catherine Lavender (Kelly), and Murray Garrison (Heidi).
Cherished grandmother of Paul and Jamie Leigh Goodman, MacKenzie Laura Boyd-Garrison, Justine and Brett Shackleton, and Ryan, Kyle, and Brady Lavender. Great-grandmother of Blake Goodman and great-great-grandmother of Taitum and Noah.
Laura was Past President and Life Member of the Kinette Club of Oshawa, Past Chairman of several home and school associations, past member of the Women’s Advisory Committee of the Ontario Government, volunteer for the March of Dimes and she continuously dedicated her time anonymously supporting several other worthwhile charities and organizations.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Laura’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Barn Cat Co-op of Durham Region, or any animal rescue charity of your choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.armstrongfh.ca
