It is with profound sadness that the family of Thomas, age 84, announces his passing on Saturday February 4, 2023. He passed comfortably at the Grand River Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Jane, of 42 years. He will be remembered by his two daughters, Sandra (Sean) and Lucia (Réal). He will also be deeply missed by his two grandchildren Riley and Caelyn, by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many of his friends. Those who knew Thomas will remember him as a hard-working individual who cheered on the Toronto Maple Leafs. The family would like to especially thank the wonderful people at both St. Mary’s General and Grand River hospitals, and at University Gates retirement home for all the care and support over the past year and a quarter.
We welcome friends and family to join us for visitation and memorial service, both to be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington, ON.
Visitation will be on Friday March 17th at 2-4pm and 6-8pm, with a memorial service held on the following day, Saturday March 18th at 10am.
Memorial donations in Thomas’ honour to Grand River Hospital Palliative Care Unit or St. Mary’s General Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
