Kristy Swanson, beloved wife, and cherished daughter, departed this world too soon, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and dedication. She passed away peacefully on March 27th, 2024, surrounded by the warmth of her family’s embrace. Her untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will forever remain a beacon of light in our lives.
As a devoted wife, Kristy shared a bond with her spouse, Gregory Swanson that was built on a foundation of mutual respect, trust, and affection. Their love was a testament to the power of commitment and companionship, enduring through life’s trials and triumphs with unwavering strength. She was a source of unwavering support and encouragement, standing by her partner through every challenge and celebration.
Born to Barry and Kelli MacGregor, Kristy was a shining example of kindness, compassion, and grace. From a young age, she displayed a deep sense of devotion to her family and friends, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her unwavering love knew no bounds, and her presence brought joy and comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kristy is survived by her loving husband, her loving parents, her brothers Donald and Jon, and their spouses, family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts always. She is also survived by her grandmother, Alberta who was always a beacon for her and so special in her life,
Kristy will also be greatly missed by her expanded family, a cherished daughter-in-law to Dave and Anne Swanson, and sister-law to Malerie Swanson and spouse. Her love for her family knew no bounds.
In honoring Kristy’s memory, let us strive to emulate the qualities that made her so extraordinary – her love, her loyalty, and her unwavering dedication to those she held dear. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will live on in our hearts forevermore.
May Kristy find eternal rest in the arms of the divine, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Memorial donations to CAMH would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Kristy in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
