It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of our father, Kenneth George Dixon, 79, of Kemptville, who left us suddenly on September 27th. Born on July 1st, 1945, Ken dedicated his life to service, both in the military and in his community.
Beloved husband and best friend of the late Darcy Dixon (née Wallace) for 46 years. Loving father of Ralph (Jana) and Timothy (Colleen). Special grampie to Connor, Emily, Samuel and Sarah. Dear son of the late George and Elizabeth. Dear brother of William and Donald.
Ken proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1962 to 2001, achieving the rank of Master Warrant Officer. His military career took him to various parts of the world, including tours in Alert, Norway, Germany, and across Canada. His commitment to his country was unwavering, he was a source of inspiration to all who knew him.
In his retirement, Ken continued his love of cars and spending time with his family and friends.
A Gathering to honor Ken’s Life will be held at the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 805 Prescott St, Kemptville on Thursday October 3, 2024 from 5 pm to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Ken’s memory.
Ken was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. His presence will be sorely missed and the memories we shared will forever be part of our lives.
