Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of (Donald) Keith Houston, a resident of Wallaceburg who passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the age of 85 years.
Keith was born in Dawn Township and was the son of the late Pearl (nee Symes) and Mark Houston.
Keith is survived by his wife Dianne and predeceased by his first wife, Ardell (2003).
Loving step-father to Stewart (Kathy) Maynard, Larry (Wenda) Maynard, Michelle Hagen, Carroll (Darren) Cook and Jim (Dianne) Hagen.
Dear brother to Sharon (Leo) Punnewaert.
Kind brother-in-law to Barbara Houston and Dennis McGaffey.
Predeceased by siblings Garland Houston, Zaida Frederick, Wayne Houston, Dale Houston and Linda McGaffey and stepson Alan Maynard.
He will be remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Keith was a long-time employee at Navistar as an electrician and was an avid euchre and cribbage player. He loved country music and was an enthusiastic boxer, baseball player and golfer in his youth. Keith was also a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy. His greatest pleasure was having family and friends drop in to visit.
Family and friends are invited to visitation at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin Street, Wallaceburg on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. followed by a celebration of his life at 12 noon.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg with fellowship and reception following at the Wallaceburg Legion.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Branch 18, Royal Canadian Legion may be left at the funeral home.
