Today as a family, we have the heartbreaking task of
informing all of our loved ones and friends that Kayla Joleen Roode,
found peace on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. Kayla was born in Truro to
adoring parents, Wade Roode and Lisa Roode (Cameron) who has sadly has
passed on.
Once again Kayla is cuddled up safe in her mother’s
arms. She now sits amongst her loved ones who have gone before her;
Kayla’s beautiful sister, Kristen Beaton (Roode); Kayla gets
to hold Baby Beaton who we’ve never met yet; Nana, Joan
Cameron (Higgins); Grampie, Randall Cameron and Grampie, Eugene Roode;
cousin, Deke Cameron; uncle, Shawn Roode.
Kayla’s favourite guy in her life is her beloved
dad, Wade Roode, North River, her favourite brother, Richard Roode and
her sister-in-law, Shannan Roode of Belmont; brother-in-law, Nick
Beaton, Belmont.
Kayla’s most happy place on earth was when she was
with her three adorable nephews. They brought so much joy to her;
Daxton Beaton, Cameron Roode and Jaxson Roode. Kayla also left behind
her great grandmother, Margaret Roode
(MacQuarrie); grandmother, Bonnie Roode (Lynds) and
grandmother, Sybil Cameron; and her partner, Kat Smith.
Kayla worked at Kohler Windows in Debert. She loved
animals and everything in nature. She loved going on long hikes
through the woods, climbing rocks or just sitting listening to the
water flowing by. Kayla loved being in nature and that’s
where she found peace within. All the outside noise would be blocked
out by the swaying of the trees or the tweeting of the birds or a
random butterfly landing on her shoulder.
Honouring Kayla’s wishes, there will be no funeral.
If so desired, donations to Hearts Haven Park in Debert are welcomed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55
Young Street, Truro. Tributes, words of comfort and memories may be
shared at: www.mattatallvarnerfh.com
Our families
are not who we use to be
Our families
are definitely not the same,
The only thing in our family
that hasn’t changed
Is the spelling of our last
names.
Kayla’s soul was placed on
angel wings
And that morning sunrise set her free
To sing and dance to watch over things
We loved you
Kayla but disagreed
Tomorrows will come and go
But our love for you will continue to grow
As
you sit at a table full of loved ones we still miss and mourn,
Talking about everything that’s happened.
Please Kayla from us give them all a kiss,
Tell them all
just how much they’re loved and missed.
