It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katherine Afyia Mergl at the age of 26 years.
Katie will be lovingly remembered by her grandmother Mary Louise, mother Diane (Lloyd), uncles; Richard (Leonora), Greg, and Jason (Ramona), aunties; Rose, Anita, and Nicole (Yonas) sisters; Megan, Angelina, Chloe, Ariel, and Selena, her son Carter, grandpa Glen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by grandpa Edward, uncle Darren, and cousin Brendon.
Friends and Family are invited to join us in honouring Katie on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., at Park Place Funeral home, 51 Broadway Blvd, Sherwood park with a wake taking place on October 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
